Lead Control Engineer - The Role:
- Deliver Software work packages of high integrity and complex control systems meeting customer & industry specifications, within budget and time constraints
- Lead a team of Software Engineers to deliver solutions
- Communicate internally & externally with customers at all levels, meeting their expectations
- Provide support to the testing/commissioning team during PAT & FAT testing
- Provide technical expertise to tenders as required
- Provide technical input towards EC&I function development
Lead Software Engineer - The Person:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with extensive experience in an Engineering workplace
- Must have a broad knowledge of designing PLC, HMI & SCADA software for complex systems
- Experience of PLC programming (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Rockwell RSLogix5000, Schneider – Unity Pro)
- Experience of SCADA programming (Siemens WinCC, Rockwell – Factory Talk, Schneider – Citect, InTouch)
- Experience using LabView would be advantageous
- Previous experience working within the Nuclear industry would be an advantage
- Member of IET – chartered Engineer status preferable
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools & administration of databases (MS Access, SQL, Oracle)
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills with design & problem-solving skills with a conscientious approach to Engineering design
- Knowledge and experience in the application of the latest relevant IEC standards and statuary legislation
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to motivate & co-ordinate a team of Software Engineers
- Maintain an understanding of the latest Engineering technology & innovations
Located in the West Midlands, this role would be commutable from Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Telford, Dudley, Walsall & surrounding areas.
