Mechanical Fitter Posted 05/04/2024 by Barhale Quick apply Location: East of England The mechanical fitter will be part of our installation teams working on the IntegratedOperational Solutions (IOS) Framework for the Anglian Water AMP 7/8 Programme.This is a long-term opportunity – we are looking at a further 10 years of work, with the work being in a 50-mile radius of Northampton.The Role:The Mechanical Fitter will be required to install mechanical equipment of varying natures on predominantly Anglian Water clean water and wastewater sites, ensuring health and safety are always adhered to and that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.They will be expected to work alongside and in conjunction with other disciplines such as electrical and civils to ensure a smooth delivery of the relevant scheme.Some knowledge of maintenance will be beneficial to assist with delivering schemes which involve updating or improving old systems to ensure they integrate with new equipment.Working within the M&E team to provide engineering and maintenance solutions to various mechanical systems and processes.Key Responsibilities:On-Site OperationsInstall mechanical equipment for water treatment works (Anglian water) to Barhale standards.Work with and have input into risk assessments and method statements to ensure health and safety are always strictly adhered to.Ensure that you are following all company and client rules.Actively engage with management in the planning, organizing and delivery of work.Assist site teams with the requisitioning of materials and equipment promptly.Assist team leaders with day-to-day operations on site.Identify site issues and report to team leaders to ensure resolution.Key measures & targetsDeliver projects to water industry standards within the IOS Framework, on time and on budget.Key measures & targets:As a Team and Individual we are measured on our health & safety record, quality of installation and delivery on time.Planning and organising the correct materials and equipment to complete the work.Tidy and Organised Vehicle and Gang Kit.Your targets will be set during Personal Development Review meetings with your line manager.There are opportunities to further your career within the team, to achieve positions such as Supervisor and Site manager, with training provided by the company.Key relationships:M&E ManagerSite ManagersSite teams Person Specification:The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:Essential Enthusiastic and ambitious personalitySignificant experience with a mechanical fitting background and in pumps and pipe installationsRelevant CSCS cardFirst aid trainingManual handlingWater hygiene cardExcellent communication skillsSelf-motivated team memberFull UK Driving license Desirable Pipefitting/welding experienceSMSTS/SSSTS qualification Type: Permanent Job ID: 221424834 Contract Length: Permanent Job Reference: VP28D222E6-MP-53538-401 View full descriptionHide full description
