Job Title: Smart Building Infrastructure Technician

Salary:Up to £36,000 (depending on experience) + Overtime + Night Shift Uplift

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Smart Building Infrastructure Technician to join our team at Gatwick Airport. As a global integrator of smart building technology, we pride ourselves on delivering cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of smart building technology across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, terminate, and test copper and voice ICT cabling infrastructure.
- Install and test security and AV cabling.
- Prepare and install telecommunications equipment cabinets.
- Install containment systems safely.
- Install end-point equipment and network equipment into cabinets.
- Carry out equipment and system patching.
- Support the commissioning, maintenance, service, and fault-finding of various systems.
- Perform network infrastructure maintenance tasks.

About You:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding and competency in the installation of copper and fibre network infrastructure.
- Willingness to learn new skills across a range of technologies including AV, electronic security, and IoT.
- Experience installing mainstream copper and fibre ICT cabling systems.
- Awareness of audio-visual and electronic security systems (ideal but not essential).
- Hold a valid ECS/CSCS card.
- Relevant qualifications such as CNet, CNIT, etc.
- Full clean driving licence.

Working Hours:

- 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.
- Flexibility to work night shifts on occasion.
