We are currently recruiting for a fantastic organisation with global reach, who have the opportunity and resources to help you foster an exciting career with the opportunity to upskill and progress up the ranks. Located at leading manufacturing process plant, operating 24/5, is looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its team on a permanent basis. This pivotal role at their Derby site is working in a medium to heavy engineering environment, with rotating 6am-2pm with a 2pm-10pm shift.

This role is ideal for a Maintenance Technician who is a hardworking and driven character who will show a degree of flexibility where required. Those with a background in medium to heavy engineering, a strong electrical skillset and strong understand of Health and Safety is vital, as the client is a big advocate for the highest standards of H&S.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution, automated material handling, and operational equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance of production equipment, material handling systems, and dust collection equipment.
  • Handle electrical controls, PLCs, VSDs, servo motors, HMI, and motor control.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks and utilize power and hand tools for repairs.
  • Review and complete work order assignments promptly.
