Actio Technical Recruitment is currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Quality Engineer for our esteemed electronics client based in Chesterfield.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance within the organisation, driving continuous improvement and maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence.

The Company
Our client is a successful Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) who offers PCB Assembly, Product Assembly and Full Turnkey manufacturing services to customers operating across the Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas and Rail and Transportation industries. 

The Role 
The successful candidate will be lead on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and systems within an Electronics Manufacturing setting.
Duties include:
•    Collaborate with procurement and supplier management teams to evaluate and qualify suppliers.
•    Establish supplier quality requirements and conduct supplier audits to assess compliance.
•    Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve overall performance.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
•    Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
•    Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality and reliability risks throughout the product lifecycle.
•    Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
•    Establish inspection criteria and quality checkpoints to ensure product conformance and reliability.
•    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve manufacturing quality and efficiency.

About You
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes is essential, particularly PCB assembly and testing.
•    In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards and their application in the aerospace industry
•    Familiar with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) procedures
•    Proficient in conducting and overseeing AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs)
•    Experience in performing product and process audits

Pay and Benefits
Mon-Fri. £(phone number removed) per annum. 
Permanent, full-time.
