A highly established business who specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke machinery for the pharmaceutical industry are on the hunt for new talent to join their dynamic Development Team. With decades of experience and a reputation for excellence, the business are committed to delivering high-quality, custom solutions that meet the unique needs of their clients. The team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation to enhance pharmaceutical production processes.

The Role:

As a Graduate Mechanical Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in their engineering team. You will be involved in the design, development, testing and assembly of bespoke machinery, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from initial concept through to final implementation, and to develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate would ideally have completed an Engineering Internship or Industry Placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of custom machinery for pharmaceutical applications.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analyses and simulations to optimise machine performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Participate in prototype testing and validation, identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Hands on testing, prototyping and assembly

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • A proactive approach and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
