2020 Recruitment are working with our Fife based engineering client who are looking to add a Stores person to their team.
This is a permanent contract, based in their Glenrothes facility.
Job Role:
As the Stores Person, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the facility workshop. Overseeing all incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring that subsequent paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Checking all incoming and outgoing goods against delivery notes, ensuring all paperwork is completed as per company procedures.
- Kit all materials per job and assign to factory operatives/projects as requested in a safe and efficient manner.
- Take ownership of stock control and order materials as required to keep up with company demands.
- Basic knowledge of engineering materials.
- Forklift truck operation.
- Create detailed service reports, maintain accurate records, and test procedures.
- Carry out risk assessments and be able to present toolbox talks to other team members.
Skills & Experience:
- Forklift license essential.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work confidently on your own.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and always put these into practise.
