Service Engineer / Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer required to join a leading supplier of Hydraulic equipment.

The Successful Service Engineer / Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer will provide repair, service, and maintenance on Hydraulic hoses in the workshop in Reading and at customer sites.

The Service Engineer / Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer will ideally have an engineering background in hydraulics, valves, hoses, pumps, motors, rotating equipment, capital equipment, power transmission, mechanics, mobile hydraulics, lifting equipment, or similar electromechanical / hydraulic related products.

Service Engineer / Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer Role
  • To provide repair, service, and maintenance on Hydraulic hoses at customer sites.
  • The Hydraulic Hose Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of hydraulic systems, such as hoses, valves, pipework systems, industrial hydraulic systems, and more.
  • Maintain, repair, and install equipment in the workshop near Reading and at customer sites across the surrounding areas.
  • Installing hydraulic products into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various hydraulic equipment.
    Liaise with various engineering departments.
 

Service Engineer / Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Engineer Requirements
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Pump Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, M&E Engineer, Electro-Mechanical Engineer or similar.
  • Assist in the workshop being involved in the strip-down, inspection and reporting and re-build of hydraulic repairs when required.
  • Good working knowledge of hydraulics is very advantageous.
  • A mechanical engineering background is required. Full product training provided.
  • An engineering qualification would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to commute to Reading and travel to surrounding customer sites when required.
  • Be prepared to stay the occasional night away when the work requires.
