Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements
- Ensure all work requests are carried out within SLA
- Work closely with manager, supervisor, peers
- Occasionally travel to Derby to complete similar tasks using work pool van
- Ability to carry out fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems and LOTO
- Ensure that ACOP's applicable to the maintenance industry are followed
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
- A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English, Mathematics and IT skills
- The candidate must be formally trained in electrical services maintenance
- Experience in multi skilled disciplines (mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, painting and carpentry)
- Experience of critical environment facilities maintenance
- Comprehensive mechanical and electrical engineering experience, undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
