Job Specification: Mechanical Estimator
Location: Blackburn area
Salary: £58,000 - £62,000 per annum plus package
Work Arrangement: Hybrid work available (up to 2 days a week remote)

Mech Electrics are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a leading energy solutions provider based in the North-West. Key Responsibilities:

Estimating: Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for various energy solutions projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Tender Preparation: Compile comprehensive and competitive tender submissions, including all necessary documentation.
Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis and budget preparation to ensure project viability.
Vendor Liaison: Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure cost-effective procurement.
Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices to continuously improve estimating processes.

Requirements:

Experience: Several years' experience as a Mechanical Estimator, preferably within the energy or building services  industry.
Education: Degree qualified.
Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software and MS Office Suite; strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff members when necessary.
