Business Unit Manager

£55-60k OTE inclusive of salary, car allowance and bonus

This position is well suited to a Field Service Engineer with ambitions of moving into management.  Alternatively you may want to reduce your travel and work from a single site but still be involved with the technical elements of powertrain and diesel engines.

Within a small business unit in a larger company, you’ll be responsible for running the service operations for powertrain products and diesel engines related to a specific OEM. There will be lots of training and development provided to allow you to be accountable for profitable sales, health and safety, service delivery, and ultimately profit and loss. With strong mentorship this is the perfect role to step into a senior and commercial management position.

To be considered you should have good technical understanding of heavy plant, diesel engines and powertrain products, covering service, maintenance and overhaul.

You should have a good grasp of costs and profit for the jobs you’ve worked on.

You should have a customer centric attitude and be prepared to liaise and negotiate with customers.
