Mechanical Fitter.

Jardonich Engineering LTD, servicing the water industry with our mechanical expertise including installation and maintenance of clean water and wastewater treatment assets, fabrication and installation of walkways, gantry’s, staircases and handrailing.

We are currently looking for an experienced mechanical fitter to become the newest member of our highly motivated and dedicated team of engineers.

Skills required:

Strong engineering background, apprentice trained or equivalent qualification, NVQ/BTEC in mechanical installation or maintenance.

Experienced in welding practices, MIG TIG and MMA.

A good knowledge of workshop machinery such as pillar drills, bandsaws, presses, turning and milling.

Knowledgeable in bearing replacement and installation on different assets including gearboxes and wheel assemblies etc.

A good knowledge of health and safety practices withing the working environment, in the workshop and on site.

Ability to work on your own and as part of a team, strong people management skills and good communication skills.

Good time management and organisational skills.

Previous knowledge of BSEN1090/ ISO9001 or SMSTS would be an advantage.

Computer literate, able to work confidently with basic Excel and Word.

CAD experience would be a bonus.

Previous experience within the water industry would be a huge benefit.

A full driver’s license is a must.

Training.

Confined Space training.

PASMA scaffolding.

First Aid training.

CSCS.

Manual handling, asbestos awareness, abrasive wheels, and fire marshalling.

All the above training will be provided if not already qualified.

About us.

At Jardonich Engineering Ltd, we are a team of dedicated mechanical engineers and fabricators carrying out numerous repairs and installations for the water industry. This work includes installation and repairs to, penstocks, valves, gearboxes, screens, distributors, or any other asset we are asked to repair or replace. We also manufacture and install pipework including steel, stainless steel, aluminum and all kind of plastics. At Jardonich Engineering LTD our fabricator/steel erectors, design, manufacture and install high quality gantry’s, staircases and handrailing to meet our customers high standards.

Our dedicated team of engineers work meticulously within our Bradford based workshop, manufacturing and repairing many assets to be taken out to site and installed as requested by our customers.

The role and responsibilities.

We are looking for an experienced individual, with a background in mechanical engineering, repairs, and maintenance, experienced in welding practices and machining, highly motivated to learn and grow within our company.

As a part of Jardonich Engineering LTD you will be expected to work efficiently, as part of our experienced mechanical team, carrying out repairs and installations within the water industry, meeting our customers’ needs and deadlines.

You will work alongside our engineers and customers to ensure work is carried out in a smooth operation from start to finish, and that the quality of the work meets our customers high expectations., and in line with their current strict health and safety standards.

You will need to be capable of making decisions and able to follow through with actions to solve problems and resolve issues as you confront them head on.

You will compile risk assessments and method statements for work to be carried out onsite and within our workshop.

You will liaise with suppliers to ensure smooth transition of parts required to carry out the work within our workshop and on site.

You will liaise with our clients to ensure their requirements are effectively met and communicated with them, arrange site visits for both measuring and installation of work.

Hours 8.00am to 16.30 Monday to Friday.
