Job Description


Syntech Recruitment are currently working with a long standing client who are recruiting for an Process Engineer to
join the company. You will be assisting the Technical Manager in the delivery of a smooth efficient production in accordance with
the plant policies and procedures. You will ideally come from a Manufacturing/Engineering background and an understanding of
quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To assist the Technical Manager in the delivery of a smooth efficient production capability in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
  • To investigate ways of improving productivity, flexibility including reduction of waste and rejects through coaching and training.
  • To ensure all SOP sheets are filed away and kept current at all times.
  • Working with the Technical Manager ensure departmental KPI's are achieved and wherever possible exceeded. Responsible to meet productivity goals.
  • To ensure all Health and Safety policies within the organisation are effectively applied.
  • Schedule and conduct team meetings.
  • Responsible for quality control under the guise of Continuous Improvement. Make adjustments / troubleshoot as necessary during the day to facilitate the production of product within specifications.
  • Liaise with the Quality Manager over quality issues; Production Manager over process issues resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all new tools are sampled and detailed SOP' sheets are compiled; report back on any faults or Health and Safety issues with new tooling.
  • Organise your activities within standard operating procedures whilst observing Health and Safety requirements. Ensure a clean and safe work area.
  • Assist the Technical Manager as is necessary including other duties as are assigned.
  • Work closely with other departments implementing best practice "LEAN" techniques.
  • Participate in business development, continuous improvement
  • Be a team player cognisant of the business values and ethos.
  • Maintain / increase morale and motivation through effective appraisal and leadership

  • Good IT skills- MS Office etc
