Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £45,000
Hours: 8am – 5pm with overtime
Location: UCL Campus Eastgate - Stratford, E20 2AF
Our client are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their maintenance team dedicated to the UCL campus in Stratford.
As Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking fault-finding and reactive breakdown repairs to building services systems and infrastructure as well as rectifying hot/cold issues by adjusting BMS systems.
In addition, your will complete jobs on Steam Plant, Medical Gas, Plumbing , Chillers, Chiller beams and other mechanical assets (belts, motors, valves etc).
You will also need to be comfortable engaging with stakeholders providing them fault diagnostics where necessary.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong communication skills
- Strong maintenance and faulting finding experience
- Time-Served or degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience of working in Education or Healthcare would be desirable
- Knowledge of steam plant, medical gas, gas, AHU’s and HIU’s
- Comfortable using a handheld PDA/Mobile and compliant with paperwork
