£60,000 - £70,000/annum

Our client has landed several large Rail projects throughout the UK and as a result they are seeking an Associate Engineer in their Glasgow office.

As an Associate Engineer, you will lead a team of talented engineers, manage projects (within Rail), and maintain and develop client relationships.

Although clients are already in place such as Network Rail (in addition to various train operators and railway contractors) it is expected that you will be able to promote the business and attract new business.

ASSOCIATE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead delivery of projects.
  • Promote rail sector services internally and externally (network events).
  • Liaise with various design departments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the preparation of drawings.
  • Negotiate fees for services.
  • Mentor junior staff and take a keen interest in their development.
  • Preparation of engineering design (both manual calculations and with design software).

ASSOCIATE ENGINEER PROFILE

  • Chartered level with recognised institution.
  • Working knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Comfortable with standard design software, AutoCAD etc.
  • Ability to manage, lead and deliver complex projects.
  • Strong commercial/negotiation skills.

ON OFFER

  • £60,000 - £70,000
  • 5 hour week (Can buy/sell 3 days).
  • 25 day annual leave.
