We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team of a leading specialist Tier 1 contractor to Network Rail, renowned for their expertise in examinations and rope access. With a track record of delivering high-quality services to their clients, they are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity to work with a company that values innovation, safety, and excellence in railway infrastructure services.

We are seeking a passionate and self-driven Business Development Manager to lead their expansion and growth strategies. The role involves nationwide travel and a hybrid working arrangement, with a company vehicle & expenses provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to our continued success and expansion within the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the rail sector
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and forming long-term partnership
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue stream
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activit
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, demonstrating the value of our client’s services
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance and market insights.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in business development within rail, with knowledge of Network Rail and Tier 1 contractors.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and a proactive problem solver.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of civils, vegetation management, examinations and rope access services is a significant advantage.
