Job Title: Electronic Design Engineer
Location: Southampton
Salary/Rate: £50,000 to £55,000
  
An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic individual to join a dynamic engineering team involved in a variety of cutting-edge projects. The work is diverse, and training will be provided as necessary.
  
As an Electronic Design Engineer, you will be part of a small team working on bespoke industrial computer systems. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial brief to final product delivery.
  
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret customer requirements and produce detailed requirement specifications.
- Complete electronic designs and produce schematics.
- Create PCB layouts using Altium and detailed BOMs.
- Liaise with manufacturers and oversee PCB manufacturing.
- Develop and oversee test routines and procedures.
- Conduct final debugging and supervise compliance testing.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to share advice and guidance.
  
Experience & Skills required for the Electronic Design Engineer, Southampton:
- Proven experience with computing architectures: PC-X86 or ARM
- Experience with PCIe, USB, Ethernet, HDMI
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Embedded and Linux porting.
- It would be ideal to have knowledge of FPGAs
- Understanding of EMC requirements and design constraints.
