Our client, a fast-growing technology company dedicated to unlocking the full potential of batteries with intelligent software for all vehicle and battery manufacturers worldwide is currently looking to hire a Cell and Battery Modelling Engineer. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in generating models to support battery management software development for Intelligent Software Layer for automotive & mobility applications.
  
The Cell and Battery Modelling Engineer will:
  • Coordinate model development & testing around the V-cycle.
  • Develop high-fidelity battery cell and pack models (both ECM based and Physics-based).
  • Support software development teams and optimizing the models for software integration and testing.
  • Establish cell & battery model development processes with serial production intent.
  • Define model requirements, features, and parameterisation processes.
  
  
The Cell and Battery Modelling Engineer will have:
  • Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in battery modelling in automotive and/or mobility sector including physics-based modelling for estimation & controls.
  • Awareness of EV technologies, components and specifically battery management systems, sensors, and actuators.
  • Good understanding of batteries and electrochemistry.
  • Proficiency in mathematical modelling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and simulation software for battery systems.
