We’re looking for a Trainee CAD Engineer to join a leader in precision engineering at their site based in Hull.

Providing to a diverse range of industries, this is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to get some hands-on experience and hone their craft whilst being backed by a supportive team.

What’s on offer?

• £25,000 - £30,000 per year
• Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Early finish on Fridays
• 21 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
• Comprehensive pension scheme

What will you be doing as a Trainee CAD Engineer?

• Reviewing RFQs and engineering drawings from customers
• Communicating with suppliers to negotiate subcontract costs
• Creating cost sheets for components and assemblies within specified deadlines
• Assisting in preparing production components and materials, collaborating with internal teams and updating the ERP system
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop competitive solutions and optimise efficiency

What do you need?

• Either a recognised engineering qualification or industry experience (preferable)
• Strong computer literacy
• A working knowledge of mechanical engineering
• Amada software experience (beneficial)
