SC Cleared Platform Engineer
Location: Onsite 4/5 days in either Warwick, Farnborough or Corsham
Rate: £550 per day inside IR35
Duration: until 16/8/24
Our client requires a Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) to understand low level designs, create and implement build scripts, conduct testing and validation for a on-premises VMware infrastructure. The following technology will be used to automate infrastructure as code - Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell DSC.
Collaboration and guide architects and clients to outline best practise to deliver Windows and Red Hat Linux virtual machines as code. Potential for scope to include other virtual infrastructure and network devices.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in writing, deploying and troubleshooting Terraform Configuration files, Ansible Playbooks/YAML files and PowerShell DSC MOFs and PowerShell Scripts.
- Understanding of Integration with VMware platform.
- Experience with version control system such as Git.
- Active SC Clearance.
Preferred:
- Knowledge and some skill with other configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack.
