I am currently recruiting for an Senior Rail Project Manager in Dublin to join a European Giant's new office. With successful bids in Highways and Rail this consultancy has now opened an office in City Centre Dublin and you'd be one of the first two hires in this team.

You'd be working as the lead Project Manager on a forward thinking Rail project that's the first of it's kind in the UK & Ireland. You will be managing a project in Cork for a Line upgrade in order to allow the line to run battery powered trains which hasn't been done before in Ireland or the UK. This project is looking at a 5 year life span and is only just starting the 1st phase so there is great job security too.

This consultancy is in a position to offer you as an Senior Rail PM all the benefits of a Large Corporate but actually give you the freedom and control that others can't.

Senior Rail PM Responsibilities include:

  • Managing, expanding and developing key client relationships.
  • Manage project work on a day-to-day basis and ensure that the work is delivered within the agreed timescale and budgets
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design of railways projects.
  • Commercial management of projects. Acting as primary client contact for cost and commercial related reporting and quality assurance.
  • Resource management for the project.
  • Line management responsibility for the development and performance management of other team members to support the development of future business.
  • Working to continually improve services and drive innovation.

Senior Rail PM Skills/Qualifications

  • Chartered Civil Engineering and/or membership of a recognised body
  • 15 years or more experience in rail/railway infrastructure design
  • 10 years or more in a Programme Manager/Senior Project manager role
  • Experience in NEC Contracts.
  • Experience in Business Development and Tender preparation.
  • Experience engaging with Clients, external stakeholders and subconsultants
  • Oral Hearing experience, desirable
  • Flexible and good team player
