Are you a driven and experienced leader in telecommunications? FullFibre is seeking a General Manager to spearhead our Project Gigabit delivery under BDUK contracts. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the UK's digital infrastructure while steering our company towards growth and success.

About the Role

As the General Manager, you'll take full ownership of the BDUK build programmes in your region, managing the project lifecycle from planning to execution.

You'll oversee key areas such as Surveying, Planning, Design, Wayleaves, Delivery, and disconnected works. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the BDUK Project Gigabit team, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans.
• Managing budgets and ensuring financial accountability.
• Building and maintaining relationships with BDUK representatives, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Proactively managing project risks and issues, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Preparing and submitting regular progress reports to BDUK and internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety/CDM regulations and relevant legislation.

What We’re Looking For

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 10 years in telecommunications network planning, deployment, and project management.
• Strong knowledge of Capex programmes and profit & loss management.
• Expertise in NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with government agencies and public sector contracts is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, APM) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth understanding of BDUK program objectives and funding mechanisms.
• PRINCE2
• NRSWA qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
