About the Job

Our Maintenance Technicians make sure our leisure facilities are all in working order and operate without any disruptions. As the Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for responding to any reactive maintenance issues, preventative maintenance, life-cycle and for liaising, overseeing and monitoring contractors. You will also be required to complete weekly checks and maintain statutory records.

Your normal working pattern will be cover of our 2 leisure centres. Occasionally you might be required to cover Facilities Management provision in other Leisure Centres. Your normal working days will be Monday to Friday. Occasionally you may be required to work outside of normal working hours and respond to out-of-hours emergencies, working 5 days out of 7 to suit needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the equipment within the leisure centres including:
Operation of boilers, filtration plant, chemical dosing plant , air conditioning plant  and any other equipment as required.
Trouble shooting and repairs of faults to mechanical and electrical plant.
The provision of Swimming Pool water hygiene maintenance and pool plant. Ensure adequate technical advice is given on the safe operation of the pool, including a high standard of pool hygiene
Responsible for carrying out planned maintenance schedules as specified including: inspection of plant, routine cleaning, remedial work, recommending action concerning any defects, recommend energy conservation and records maintenance.
Responsible to undertake all repairs to ensure the efficient operation of the centre including: carpentry, painting and plumbing works, electrical and mechanical, equipment and fabric of the building.
Maintenance of records and relevant reporting tools.
Operate in a safe manner and advise management on all aspects of Hygiene, Health & Safety within areas of responsibility
Responsible for the monitoring, stock control, ordering and safe storage of all parts and equipment.
Liaise with contractors and monitor works carried out.
Maintain accurate records including Water Hygiene, meter readings, health and safety and contractor log book.
To deliver the Environmental management programme and adhere to relevant accreditation requirements, reporting any environmental deviations, incidents and suggestions to relevant line manager

About you

As a successful Maintenance Technician at Lampton, you will have:

Previous experience working in a similar role across multiple sites. 
Previous experience in facilities management roles, maintaining building fabric, M&E and HVAC plant. 
Experience in trouble shooting failures to mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and associated plant is also necessary.
Working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance. 
Competency in completing multi-skilled repairs in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and fabric. 
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and how it relates to service delivery is also preferred.
