Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Principal Systems Engineer.

You will  support and deputise for the Systems Engineering Manager with the engineering delivery of the Maritime Electronic Warfare System Integration Capability (MEWSIC) programme. This shall cover the provision of technical leadership, Systems Engineering (SE) management and domain knowledge consultancy.

Key Requirement: 
  • Preferably a degree qualified, chartered engineer or working towards chartered status within a recognised and relevant professional body. The PSE may hold an HNC in a relevant engineering discipline in concert with significant and demonstrable subject matter expertise in the system domain.
  • Engineering/technical management, preferably in a position responsible for the delivery of equipment/system programmes for a MoD customer.
  • Working knowledge of MoD procurement processes, project delivery practices and technical standards compliance.
  • Delivery of C5ISR systems across the SE life cycle
  • Domain expertise in one of the following:
    • o Electronic Warfare systems;
    • o Combat Management Systems/Shared Infrastructure
    • o Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance;
    • o Military RADAR systems;
    • o Military communications networks (WAN and LAN)
  • Conversant with the MoD Knowledge in Defence (KiD) framework and associated design, build, test and acceptance processes;
  • Valid SC 
  • This role is remotely based from home, however there will be a need for travel within the UK and occasionally overseas, dependent upon programme you work on
