In this role you will be playing a vital part of the company's assurance and independent assessment functions, providing valuable guidance towards and review of Nuclear Safety & Nuclear Engineering activities. Ultimately, you will be playing a part in the highest-level oversight of the effectiveness of processes, policies and management systems defining works being carried out throughout the business.

The ideal candidate will come from an Engineering background specifically to do with Nuclear Safety & Nuclear Regulation, and will be highly knowledgeable in regulations and best practices such as those provided by the INPO and WANO. They will need to have prior experience in carrying out assessments of management systems & engineering activities, and will need to be comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary team.

The role:
* Carrying out Independent Assessments covering management systems, practices and processes
* Ensuring works throughout the business are being carried out in line with national, international and industry best practices, for example those provided by the INPO, WANO etc.
* Reporting reviews to external regulators and internal teams e.g Nuclear Safety Committee
* Providing support to various other teams involved with Assurance e.g Technical Assessment & Supply Chain Assessment

The person:
* Educated to Degree level in relevant Engineering or Science discipline
* Significant experience in the Nuclear industry covering things such as Nuclear Safety, Nuclear Security, Plant Operations, Emergency Preparedness etc
* Prior experience in carrying out high-level assessments towards things such as organisational structure, processes, practices and management systems
* Strong understanding of industry best practices e.g WANO, INPO, government regulations
