An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrically biased, Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a multi-national company based around the Stanford Le Hope area of Essex

The Role

• Provide Electrical and Mechanical support to ensure performance of all automation machinery (i.e. retrieval systems, sortation equipment, conveyors, high bay cranes etc)
• Repairs to contacts, sensors, switches, relays, motors, gear boxes, chains, belts and much more.
• Interrogation and troubleshooting of Siemens PLC systems via laptop.
• Accurate and timely updating of the Maintenance Management system.
• Coordination of two Engineers within your team (daily activities / priorities…)
• Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance work to ensure all workloads have been completed within deadlines.
• Encouraging, supporting and managing active participation in continuous improvement activities.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will preferably have:-

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship/ HNC/HND/ONC or equivalent in electrical Engineering.
• A high standard of electrical/ mechanical knowledge, ideally gained from an automated environment such as; Packaging, Food, FMCG, Logistics etc (Industry can be open though with consideration to transferable skills and knowledge).
• Good knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs to interrogation level.
• Experience of leading / coordinating other Engineers. This may not have been in a formal role but maybe as informally as managerial support.

Shifts:- 4 rotation. Earlies, Earlies, Lates, Nights

Salary: £52k
