The Client

My client a specialist in Hydrographic, Land, and Engineering Surveys company established in 2016 they deliver precise and accurate dimensional data of both constructed and natural surroundings, utilising state-of-the-art equipment and advanced techniques.

Our client is a multidisciplinary survey company with expertise in various surveys, including Topographical, Boundary, Hydrographic, Dimensional Control Surveys, and Marine Vessel scanning, both in the UK and internationally.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support their Hydrographic Survey Manager in coordinating departmental operations and managing project activities. This role involves planning, resource management, supplier coordination, scheduling, cost management, and ensuring projects exceed client expectations while staying within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating operational activities within the hydrographic survey department.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver assigned projects.
  • Monitor and control project performance against budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, including Project Management Plans, risk registers, RAMS, HSE plans.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with clients and oversee sub-contractors.
  • Assist in developing hydrographic survey processes and procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience of project management.
  • Proficient in hydrographic surveying procedures and technical problem-solving.
  • Competent user of survey instrumentation (MBES, SSS, Magnetometers, SBP).
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally.
