About the Role

My client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Fabric Engineer to join their facilities management team in Banbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the building fabric to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on the building fabric, including carpentry, painting, plastering, and general upkeep.

Carry out regular inspections of the premises to identify and address any issues with walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, and other structural elements.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Assist with the installation of new fixtures and fittings as required.

Work closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure comprehensive care of the facility.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer or in a similar maintenance role.

Strong skills in carpentry, painting, plastering, and general building maintenance.

Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Good communication skills.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade would be advantageous.
