I am exclusively recruiting for my client who is a leading engineering services provider within the rail and rolling stock industry. The company has experienced year on year growth for the past 3 years and has an order book full for the next 12 months. Due to this they are looking to expand their Engineering team. The company is dedicated to training and development and will assist with Prince2 qualifications with the successful Engineering Manager. Fostering a great culture and close knit team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the management team of the company to drive forward the ambition of growth.

The role of Engineering Manager:-

• Manage a team of Project Engineers and allocate projects accordingly
• Control all aspects of projects from cradle to grave
• Manage multiple projects at any one given time
• Write and create technical documentation
• Coach, develop and mentor engineers
• Clear and concise project planning and scheduling
• Developing and agreeing budgets and controlling forecast and actual costs against them
• Liaise with production regarding deliverables and timelines

Qualifications or Experiences required for Engineering Manager:-

• Previous Experience managing teams 
• Experience managing multiple projects
• Ability to read Engineerign drawings
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment and understand of manufacturing process such as welding
• Commercial accumen
• Degree educated or equivalent
• Prince2 is desirable however company can assist with achieving this
