Maintenance Planner

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner for our client based in Corby. The main purpose of this role is planning and scheduling to ensure efficient execution of all maintenance and reliability practices, programs and processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work within the Company Safety and Health guidelines.
  • Plan and schedule all required maintenance activities.
  • Perform field walks and discussions for approved work orders to determine the needed time, materials, crafts, and tools required.
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities such as Root Cause Analysis to improve the maintenance performance and best practices.
  • Take ownership of the CMMS, taking responsibility for the administration and effectiveness of the system.
  • Participate in the regular maintenance meetings ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Lead the weekly maintenance planning meeting.
  • Responsible for ensuring all parts and spares are available to meet the maintenance plans.
  • Collate and report all maintenance KPI's, statistics and trackers.
  • Responsible for administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the engineering department.
  • Support the Maintenance Technicians when and if necessary in their activities.
  • To issue permits and control on-site contractors if necessary.

Your Profile

  • Must be highly proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A good level of root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • NC/ONC/HNC/C&G in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred
  • Training and experience in industrial, electrical and mechanical applications
  • Training and experience in process controls and instrumentation applications
  • Detailed understanding of a Manufacturing Plant Operation and Maintenance
