Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnical team working across the UK. The role would suit a Geotechnical Engineer wiht a few years of experience who wants to develop and be involved in the planning, management, and successful delivery of complex geotechnical projects to the highest technical, quality, and safety standards. This is a great opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer or Technician to join a fast growing and large contractor and develop through the ranks.
 

As the Geotechnical Engineer, you will likely be experienced and competent in the following duties.

• Maintaining high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on site
• Supervising and mentoring the project team
• Strong ability to build relationships at all levels including site teams, clients and suppliers.
• Ensuring processes are in place for the preparation, review and briefing of method statements, activity plans and risk assessments and measures are implemented to ensure they are reviewed and updated accordingly
• Providing tender advice on potential compliance issues, technical approach and opportunities for alternative scope
• Delivering, maintaining and monitoring an effective programme
   

Person Profile:
 

• Tertiary qualified in relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experienced in ground investigation and geotechnical engineering on construction projects.
• Experience in piling/nailing/ground anchors/slope stabilisation/specialist grouting would be an advantage
• You will be able to demonstrate great communication skills at all levels across all stakeholders.
• You will have a ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn
