For the successful Trainee Auto-Electrician, our client is offering:

• Competitive salary paying up to £31,000 per annum depending on experience
• Monday to Friday - 8am-5:15pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays - 40 hours per week
• Permanent position
• Overtime is paid at time/half over standard hours.

Trainee Auto-Electrician Job Duties:

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on new commercial vehicles, while observing all statutory and legal requirements
• Running tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
• Inspecting electrical systems and equipment for damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
• Working with a more experienced Auto Electrician

What our client is looking for in a Trainee Auto-Electrician:

• Knowledge of electrical vehicle maintenance standards required for HGV operation.
• City & Guilds Part 3 in motor vehicles studies or similar would be advantageous
• Experienced in the diagnostic, electrical repair, and maintenance of all types of large and small commercial vehicles and bodies
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety and its impact in vehicle repair operations
• Our client is looking for somebody who has Wiring or Electrical based knowledge
• Knowledge / Interest of Vehicles
