Service Engineer (CHP)

Up to £37,000 + Van + Benefits

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Service Engineer to join a leading business within the Waste Management/Power Generation industry.  

As the Service Engineer you will be responsible for travelling to sites in the Reading/Slough area to carry out maintenance and repairs on a range of CHP Engines.

As the Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Travelling to sites across the Slough, Reading and Heathrow area to carry out maintenance and repairs on a range of CHP engines including; MTU, Cummins, MAN and Jenbacher
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out repairs in an efficient manner
• Using computer based tools to fault find on other plant equipment
• Ensure all paperwork and legislation is followed and kept up to date
• Operate within strict Health & Safety standards
• Work as part of an on call rota
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven experience in an engine maintenance role
• A full UK Driving Licence is essential
• The ability to travel to various sites with a flexible approach to hours
• A relevant engineering qualification; Apprenticeship/NVQ/Btec/HNC etc
• A gas safe qualification is desirable but not essential
