The successful Buyer will join a strong procurement team to achieve optimal performance in their project(s) and be responsible for implementing professional, competitive, and efficient buying processes, controls, and systems.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be degree qualified within the supply chain industry with 3+ years of buying/procurement experience and an expert SAP user with solid negotiation skills.
Buyer Responsibilities:
- Responsible for procurement to pay process from Sourcing to invoice clearance.
- Supplier sourcing and negotiations.
- Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders.
- Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries.
- The preparation of regular reports on purchasing activities.
- Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers.
- Maximise value opportunities through adherence to specific supplier agreements.
- Work with other buyers and data management in further developing low value high volume product categories.
- Take the lead on materials purchasing for specific projects as assigned by purchasing manager.
