Our Devizes based client is looking for an individual to join their team as an Assembly Engineer. Working to support the business with assembly of production based products the successful candidate will play a key part in the smooth running of the process from fabrication to testing to the final stage of dispatch.

Position: Assembly Engineer
Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00 - 17:00, Fri 08:00 -14:00.
Salary: £27-£30,000 PA
Contract Type: Temporary with the potential for permanent position.
Start: Asap.


Specific Duties

* Working from technical drawings to assemble a complete units which could include fitting guards, switches, hoses, gearboxes, motors & pumps.
* Working with pneumatic & hydraulics.
*Test and fault find when required showing attention to detail to ensure that nothing is missed which would otherwise cause the units to fail inspection and test.
*Assemble/clean components ready for dispatch completing PDI sheets

Experience required

Essential
* You must possess good hydraulic and assembly skills within a production environment, be able to work to deadlines.
* Experience using a variety of hydraulic, electric and manual tools.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
* Attention to detail.
* Be an effective team member, working with supervisor and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output.
* Have a sense of responsibility and ownership.
* You will need to be accurate and attentive, but have the flexibility to solve issues under pressure and within short time constraints.
* Striving for improvements in process techniques to reduce process times and improve consistency of quality.

Desirable
* Relevant manufacturing/engineering level 3 or equivalent NVQ qualification
* Experience working within a Quality Management System and an awareness of any Environmental impacts
* Experienced with Pneumatics ,Hydraulics and electrics
* Ability for diagnostics and repairs
* Flexible working principles / Ethos
