We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Lead to join a market leading manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be leading a small team ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the daily maintenance activities and the designated team.
  • Data analysis of breakdowns to prioritise workload and implementing preventative tasks/escalate projects required
  • Collate data for and report of OEE availability
  • Review, audit and update TPM task`s
  • Identifying opportunities to improve machine performance and driving improvement projects to completion
  • Promote and ensure safe working practices are adopted at all times.
  • Ensure a very high standard of housekeeping is set and maintained.
  • Ensure that planned maintenance activities are completed and effectively communicated
  • Ensure that required activities following planned maintenance are captured and completed in a timely manner alongside other work requests.
  • Ensure that breakdowns are promptly attended by the appropriate team members.
  • Link between daily operations review and making plans into action
  • Ensuring safe and quick implementation of new processes and making current processes more robust
  • Daily management of the maintenance team to include manning and absence procedures, training and development.
  • Creation and modification of Work Instructions and Risk Assessments
  • Supporting Production in product changes and improvements
  • Supervision of contractors and activities as required
  • Manage permit to work process and issuing of other permits as required

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 5 years' hands on experience within Maintenance related role
  • Experience in maintenance leadership roles
  • Ability to lead the team and make balanced decisions
  • Good knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Very hands on in fixing the immediate issues
  • Excellent knowledge of all current machines and processes
  • Can do attitude - understands importance of machine uptime and willing to challenge the norms
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Proven ability of meeting and exceeding internal and external stakeholder requirements
  • Robot knowledge
  • High pressure injection equipment experience
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change
  • Able to demonstrate ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations
