I am currently seeking a Production / Facilities Manager on a permanent basis for a company that supply globally specialising in the manufacture of products, food and ingredients for primarily the FMCG industry, based just outside of Boreham, Norton Bavant, near Warminster area

 The company themselves have a very strong order book now looking for a Production / Facilities Manager to come in. The company has a strong family feel where team fit is very important, they are growing and have a focus on the progression and development of staff so need someone who has a real desire to grow and progress their career.

Do you have experience working within food manufacturing / have a FMCG background? Have you got experience / knowledge around GMP / Production methodologies?  

If so, we are seeking a highly skilled Production / Facilities Manager on a permanent basis for a company that supply globally specialising in the manufacture of products, food, and ingredients for primarily the FMCG industry, but also for a variety of different industries to grow and lead the team, site and function.

Essential Requirements / Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have experience within the Cosmetics / Hygiene / Chemical / FMCG / fast moving consumer goods industry ideally
  • Must have good exposure & experience GMP / Production methodologies
  • Strong experience and appreciation for lean six sigma and continuous improvement
  • Must have previously led / managed a team
  • Knowledge of product purchasing (raw materials)
  • Minimum IOSH or NEBOSH Health and Safety Qualification

The Role

This role is a perfect opportunity for a Production / Facilities Manager to progress their career within a reputable company. We are looking for a Production / Facilities Manager professional with a strong understanding and to manage the factory as well as the responsibility of all aspects relating to the production area. You will be given the freedom to grow your own team and plan production while leading from the front in a hands-on role.

We are looking for someone to be manage the factory and offices in the absence of the Operations Manager, be responsible for all aspects relating to production and to oversee, manufacture and prepare chemicals for distribution. Please see below for more details:

  • Provide Management, support and guidance to production team and ensuring the production operation meets key operational metrics in serving customers and driving area/business profitability
     
  • Help ensure manufacturing performance targets are achieved.
     
  • Support the Operations Manager in setting and analyzing KPIs and other efficiency measures.
     
  • Ensuring the factory area is maintained in a clear, clean and tidy state
     
  • Carry out instructions as per pallet list provided by Distribution Manager
     
  • Ensure QSHE safety and hygiene standards are being met
