We are looking for a proactive Senior Automation Engineer to support the Shift Manager overseeing a team of engineers and technical operators.
As an integral member of the automation team, you will have a varied role working on the planned maintenance schedule and responding to critical breakdowns keeping down time to a minimum while supporting the team with your technical knowledge and experience.
Working closely with the Engineering Shift Manager you will be involved in the performance reviews of the wider engineering team managing personal development plans, identifying ambitious engineers to help with future succession planning off the department and lead the coaching and mentoring to ensure the team is proactive and following company safe working policy.

Key responsibilities for a Senior Shift Automation Engineer
- Planned Routine Maintenance
- Respond breakdowns proactively to limit downtime taking ownership of issues.
- Strong Attention to detail
- CMMS processes
- Service and repair of equipment on site Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
- Mentoring of junior team members
- Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/ONC
- Experience as a Team Leader/Manager
- A solid understanding of PLC’s and field wiring
- Ability to read technical Electrical and Mechanical drawings.
- Strong communication and Interpersonal skills
- Computer Literate
- Confidently work at height.
- Salary up to £52,500
- Shift 4 on 4 off Days & Nights
- 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am
