Our client is a leader in their field and due to continued growth are now looking for an experienced Product Engineering Coordinator to join their team. You will play a critical role to manage, maintain and improve power to components.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with our global partners to be responsible for the coordination reporting and introduction of new products
  • Provide support for completion of projects lead by the centralised purchasing group
  • Manage all tooling assets and support the renewal process once tool is near end of life guarantee
  • Use the mould management system to ensure the maintenance, replacement and repair/refurbishment of supplier loaned production 
  • Be able to interpret supplier tooling condition reports and understand when escalation to seniors is required
  • Improvement of mould technology. Analysing, maintenance histories and improving moulds.
  • Able to support quality department when products don’t meet drawing specification or quality
  • Ensure external manufacturing processes are capable and consistent of giving the correct component specification and quality
  • Elimination of quality defects. Work with the quality control department and with suppliers to solve problems. Solving assembly problems.
  • Develop the maintenance and delivery of agreed cost savings OTIF delivery and quality improving objectives.

Skills and Experience

  • Must have engineering degree or related professional qualification
  • Experience of maintaining and improving power to components
  • Must have experience in an engineering environment
  • Experience with plastic injection moulding, die casting, pressing and assembly highly advantageous
  • Be proactive, challenging and determined to understand and illuminate the root cause of problems
  • Communicate clearly and consciously at all business levels, both verbally and written
  • Demonstrate an attitude of continuous improvement (Kaizen)
