Field Service Engineer (Production Machinery)

Birmingham, Midlands

£40,000 to £50,000 + Voluntary Overtime Paid At A Premium + Car + Benefits Package

Multi-Skilled Field Service Engineer required by a well-established production machinery manufacturer with a great reputation.

You will install, service and repair machines at client sites mainly in the Midlands but also throughout the UK. Candidates will need experience of field service and be multi-skilled. The machines are PLC controlled, use 3 phase electrics and a variety of mechanical processes.

Extensive training will be provided so that you become a product expert. You will also receive the opportunity to technically progress within the business. Overtime is voluntary and typically around 25 hours a month is available and paid at a premium.  

The Field Service Engineer Role:

* Installing, servicing and repairing production machines at client sites throughout the UK.
* Electrical aspects include 3 phase, single phase & PLC work.
* Varied mechanical aspects to include pneumatics.
* Completing job administration on company IT systems.
* Stay away on average 6 nights a month.  
* Communicating with clients via the phone, email and face to face.

The Field Service Engineer:

* Experienced Field Service Engineer or equivalent.
* Multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
* Strong communication skills.
