The position of Aerospace Design Engineer is ideally suited to people with sufficient and appropriate engineering design experience.

You will be given the opportunity to provide high quality technical input to our aerospace design projects across aero-structures.

The right candidates will need to demonstrate a desire to be challenged and to contribute towards the success and growth of the business. In return we can offer career development, an empowered and supportive working environment and competitive reward package.

  • As a design engineer you have a shared responsibility in the design of structural components for mainly aircrafts and helicopters.
  • You will be working with both metal and composite structures and different assembly techniques.
  • You work in a multidisciplinary team together with e.g. stress engineers, manufacturing engineers, cost engineers and tooling engineers.
  • You will be working in all phases of a program, starting with the conceptual phase (possibly at the site of the customer), the full-scale phase in which the detailed design is translated into product drawings,/ models, up to the product maturation phase assisting with problems during manufacturing and proposing changes to the detailed design in order to contribute to weight and cost savings.
  • Your task is the integration of all requirements and input from other engineering disciplines into the conceptual and detailed design, such that the product definition can be made and a cost-efficient and producible design is achieved.
  • You will use a variety of methods and tools, for example CAD and PLM software.

  • Qualified in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or possess suitable experience in lieu of a degree), with sufficient and appropriate engineering design experience in environments relevant to the aerospace sector.
