About the role :

  • Manage all RFQ responses ensuring compliance with Goodridge strategic and financial goals
  • Ensure responses meet customer requirements in terms of accuracy, format and timelines
  • Contribute to new business opportunity reviews
  • Assess and ensure contract deliverables are achieved in terms of investment, working capital, delivery and profitability
  • Manage any content, costing or pricing changes, providing detailed information and reports to the Sales Director and CEO
  • Ensure full transparency as to terms, conditions, liabilities, penalties, and cost-down commitments to which Goodridge is committed
  • As far as is commercially viable, the inclusion of clauses to enableGoodridge torediscuss selling prices based upon:
    • Technical/supply variations imposed by the customer.
    • Reduced customer demand from quantities indicated by the customer during the FRQ process.
    • Significant Goodridge material or labour cost variances to those used in formulating the RFQ response.
  • Ensure appropriate Goodridge senior leadership signoff
  • Undertake quarterly contract performance reviews to analyse customer contract financial performance and develop and manage improvement action plans as appropriate
  • Develop a tool for the periodic review of customer contract working capital and profitability performance.
  • Challenge Goodridge internal parties and suppliers on the improvement of Goodridge contract financial performance.
  • Develop and manage action plans to realise contract financial improvements or customer contractual cost-downs.
  • Provide the OE commercial team with necessary information to successfully renegotiate contract pricing as may be required.

About You :

  • A degree level qualification is preferred, ideally in a commercial, legal or business subject
  • Experience of working in industry is preferred although we are more than happy to consider people moving from practice
  • Engineering, automotive or manufacturing experience is beneficial
  • In-depth understanding of commercial contracts from both a legal and financial perspective
  • First class interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent levels of numeracy and literacy (written and spoken English)
