£17.93 - £19.8/hour

Wright Engineering, an engineering and construction industry leader, are recruiting for mechanical fitters to join our construction division on a permanent basis. 

  • Working on sites and projects throughout the UK
  • Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00 + optional overtime 
  • £17.93 per hour basic pay + £1.87 per hour working away bonus 
  • Pre-booked hotel accommodation - single rooms 
  • Daily working away food & drink allowance 
  • Overtime rates of £26.90 per hour and £35.86 per hour 
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) 
  • Free secure on-site parking 

The role: 

  • Working on a diverse range of projects in sectors such as Power Stations, Quarries, Construction, Manufacturing and more. 
  • Travelling to various sites to work in new and challenging environments. 
  • Apply expertise in in medium to heavy engineering works. 
  • Interpret and implement engineering General Arrangements (GAs) and detailed drawings. 
  • Install and maintain crucial equipment including conveyors, ash handling systems and other bulk handling equipment. 
  • Building of bearings and assembly of drive arrangements - including alignment. 
  • Conduct installations and repairs on a range of machinery, maintaining the highest safety standards.

Experience: 

  • Engineering qualification - NVQ Level 3 or above 
  • CCNSG Safety Passport / CSCS
