Title: Senior Engineering Technician  

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits + Training + Progression 

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-5 

Location: Reading

Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm (37.5-hour work week)

A fantastic opportunity to work for a large independent healthcare Provider who are recruiting for a Senior Engineering Technician covering three sites around the reading area. This is a permanent position paying a salary of up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience. Overtime opportunities and fantastic opportunities for career progression.

Job Role:

Engineers are expected to be very technically strong with great fault-finding abilities and a desire to work in a demanding yet rewarding environment.

The role of a Mobile Maintenance Engineer is to carry out the servicing and reactive repairs to electrical & minor mechanical services. Demonstrate high level of organisation & time management skills, particularly in an environment with multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities. Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes and ACOPs.

Carry out routines unsupervised (PPM and reactive), diagnose and repair faults on electrical and building services (L8, AHU maintenance, fire alarms, lighting testing, lighting repairs, pumps, motors, heating system fault finding and awareness (Heat exchangers, actuators, pipe work)

Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to;

• Emergency lighting
• Fire alarm testing  
• Inspection and testing 
• General maintenance

Skills Required:
The successful candidate must have:

• With at least 3 years experience in electrical building services
• Full UK CLEAN Driving Licence
• 18th edition
• Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card
• Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card
• City & Guilds Electrical level 3 installation or equivalent or mechanical equivalent
• Must be well presented with good interpersonal skills as this is a client facing role
