Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Commissioning Manager to join CAF Rolling Stock at their depot in Crewe. This position will be on an initial 1 year fixed term contract, or 1 year daily rate contract.

The Opportunity

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are working with CAF Rolling Stock on their search for a Commissioning Manager. This role will be reporting directly into the Commissioning department in Spain and will be instrumental in the delivery of a new fleet of trains ahead of acceptance by Wales & Borders Rail.

You will be managing the technical, quality and engineering related issues that may arise during the planning and executive of the testing & commissioning phase of the project.

Location (s):

Crewe – Full-time onsite

Role and Responsibilities:

• Managing the integration of testing and commissioning work streams – including resolution of key interface issues.
• Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the testing and commissioning phase of the projects, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Take overall responsibility to ensure the successful acceptance of the trains by the customer according to the project schedule.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate both technical engineering knowledge and strong stakeholder management skills, engaging the customer as well as setting and managing realistic engineering plans and timescales.

Essentials

• Educated to a degree level in a relevant field, or significant experience in a similar level role.
• Experience in a commissioning process management environment.
• Good team working skills with the ability to develop working relationships quickly

• Technical and/or practical knowledge is valued
