Stores Person (Engineering Department) - Immediate Start
Contract / Temporary
Days Monday to Friday
Peterborough, need transport
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Order Management: Take charge of the purchasing process, ensuring timely and accurate creation of purchase orders for engineering materials and equipment.
Inventory Control: Maintain meticulous records of stock levels, conducting regular audits to optimize inventory management.
Supplier Relations: Foster strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, track deliveries, and resolve any issues efficiently.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand their requirements and provide proactive support in sourcing necessary items.
Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality by verifying incoming goods against specifications and handling any discrepancies appropriately.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an engineering or technical environment.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
