Metal Dresser

We are actively recruiting for a Metal Dresser to join our clients expanding team in Ferryhill.
Role Overview:
This role is a permanent contract, initially starting on dayshift with a view to move onto a 2-shift rotation. With a salary of £13.73 per hour.
Day Shift
Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 12.30pm.
2 Shift Pattern
Monday to Thursday 2.30pm – 11pm, Friday 12.30pm – 7pm.
Monday to Thursday 6am – 2.30pm, Friday 6am – 12.30pm.
Role Overview:
- Working with a variety of hand tools including electric grinders, pneumatic grinders, and pad sanding tools.
- Dressing welds on components of various shapes and sizes ready for painting.
- Ensuring parts left with a dressed finish are of a high standard.
- The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 5 people.
- The individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance.
Requirements:
- 1 years’ experience of working in metal dressing finishing environment.
- Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is desirable but not essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
