Job Description

The Electrical Wirer/Assembler plays a pivotal role in our business. As a craftsperson you will use your distinctive attention to detail and ability to problem solve to perform high-quality electrical assembly of the entire Edale product range. Working on your own or as part of a project team every assembly will require your unique set of skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • To perform high quality electrical assembly in line with the drawings and specifications supplied by the Design Team
  • To ensure that machine build times are kept within those budgeted by Production
  • Responsible for reporting any quality failures or problems related to the operation of equipment used to perform electrical assembly to the team leader
  • To report component shortages to the team leader while making sure there are sufficient supplies of consumable components to perform the tasks required using the Edale Kanban system
  • To bring forward ideas for process improvements to support Edale’s continuous improvement program

Person Specification

To be successful in your application you will need to:

  • Have the ability to read and understand electrical drawings
  • Have experience with both hand and electrical tools
  • Have relevant experience with panel wiring and electromechanical assembly
  • Be able to perform simple soldering tasks and terminate wires as needed for basic electronic repairs
  • Have the ability to find electrical faults and fix them

Desirable

  • Qualified to 18th edition
  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ or have equivalent experience
