Job Overview: Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled injection moulding setter to join their team.

Remit:                        

• The role of Injection Moulding Setter is to ensure that the injection moulding process is set up to run efficiently with minimal scrap and carry out injection mould tool insert changes following safe working practices.
• The ideal injection moulding setter candidate will have a good knowledge of thermoplastic materials with experience in troubleshooting new and existing tooling.
• As an Injection Moulding Setter you will be able to set, condition, maintain and optimize several injection moulding machines.

Role:

• Perform tool changes and set up machines following a production plan
• Perform injection mould tool insert changes
• Perform color and material changes
• Prepare materials for production runs
• Maintain product quality
• Perform and document inspection routines as per product quality plans and procedures
• Keep production documentation up to date on a daily basis
• Train machine operators in the safe use of equipment and documentation relating to the injection moulding process
• Perform routine maintenance & safety checks

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Injection Moulding Technician/Setter
• Trained to IMT Level 2 level or equivalent
• Good experience with injection moulding machinery
• Experienced in injection moulding tool insert/tooling part changes
• Experienced with tool changes
• Trained in overhead crane pendant (minimum 3 Ton) would be desirable
• Computer literate
