Cure Talent is thrilled to partner with an innovative MedTech startup at the forefront of wearable medical device development and innovation.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Software Development Manager to join our highly motivated team to take responsibility for mobile app product development and the support of our IT and business software solutions (all third parties currently).

The successful software engineering manager will:

  • Collaborate with external software teams to develop, launch, and maintain high-quality mobile medical apps.
  • Direct external teams for timely software updates aligned with platform changes.
  • Support product software operations, including Microsoft Azure services.
  • Test iOS and Android apps on Microsoft Azure.
  • Monitor and optimise live app performance with development teams.

What skills and experience do you need to be considered?

  • Proven history of successfully delivering medical device / digital health apps deployed on mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with FDA/MDR/UK MDR medical device software regulation, including relevant standards such as ISO13485, ISO14971, IEC62304, IEC82304, and IEC62366.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in the medical device industry.

You will not be writing code in this role; it’s very much the management of the software development lifecycle through the various third parties and consultancies; however, there is a longer-term view to bring the software development in house.
